Strava to Garmin (Sorry!)

Over the past few weeks I’ve been slowly rebuilding this site.

Nothing dramatic — mostly a fresh coat of paint, some cleanup, and a shift toward treating hiimandy.com as a small personal archive rather than a traditional “homepage.”

In the process, I accidentally broke something.

A while back I built a tiny web tool that converts Strava GPX files into a format that Garmin devices accept. It lives quietly on the internet, but based on server logs, a surprising number of people still use it.

When I took the old version of hiimandy.com offline, that tool went with it.

Sorry about that.

I’ve rebuilt the Strava → Garmin translator on this new setup and it’s now available here: /engineering/projects/strava-to-garmin

The functionality is the same as before:

• Upload a GPX file exported from Strava
• Download a Garmin-compatible GPX file
• No accounts, no tracking, no storage

If you happen to rely on this tool and notice anything odd, feel free to email me.
